Bob has been in Canada lately on business. His receipts are in Canadian dollars so I print out the American Express statement to get the US dollar conversion.
American Express has started adding 3% fees for this calculation which bring the cost to an equivalent US sum.
An example is a dinner that cost $38.46 with a US conversion to $37.39. Then the American Express fee of $1.01 bring the cost to our company to $38.40 US.
We are still seeking an explanation as this "fee" has not occurred before.
