The day after Mother's Day, the cost of a first class postage stamp will increase from $.42 to $.44. That's an increase of nearly 5%.
The United States Postal Service offers a "Forever " stamp without cost designation. If you buy them now at $.42, you can use them when the costs increase. They are good for a first class mailing no matter how much the costs increase in the future.
Invest now. Buy your stamps for your Christmas cards at 2008 rates.
