The latest statistics say that our highways are less traveled. The volume of vehicles is down.
Speculations are that with the cost of fuel very high last year, fewer of us hit the roads. Plus, the economy has left many semis idle.
Also, many people work from home or work away from the office from time to time. The internet and communications are such that physical presence is not always required.
As Bob and I leave home for a few days, I'll take notice of traffic on the Indiana tollway and the highways around Chicago.
